Scholars from Gawler High continue to make their mark in every field of endeavour be it education, politics, sport, science, the arts or business and the school is proud of its ongoing history of achievement. The records of these achievements are carefully preserved in its extensive archival collection  which will be put on display this year during the school community celebrations at which old scholars, past staff and present students and staff will be involved.

Back-to-School Gala Day

The Back-to-School Gala Day on Sunday May 20th was held at the school from 10am - 4pm. It featured historical displays, tours of the old GHS buildings (1915-1963), food stalls, tours of the present school and its extensive grounds, music, drama performances and a variety of stalls.

Centenary Sculptures

A number of metal and ceramic sculptures were commissioned by the Arts Faculty to commemorate the Centenary. The present principal, Sandra Lowery, was the driving force behind establishing the schools Foundation in 2006. The Foundation exists to financially benefit the school by obtaining donations, gifts and bequests to meet the present and future needs of its students. It assists with the ongoing improvement of facilities, educational projects, student scholarships, staff development and endowments and the acquisition of library resources, works of art and equipment.
